North American Collins Championship (NACC) Afterword

OVERVIEW
The North American Collins Championship (NACC) is the premier Collins-only championship Scrabble event in North America in 2023. The top four players from each division will compete in a playoff on Monday, Nov. 13. All other players are welcome to play in a 6-game Afterword event on that same day.

Number of games: 6
Divisions: This tournament will feature two divisions, with a rating cutoff of 1600. All players with a peak rating of 1600 or higher from Oct. 31, 2022 - Oct. 31, 2023 must play in Division 1. All others may play up to Division 1 if desired, but have the option to compete in Division 2 instead.
Player capacity: 90 players total across both divisions.
Parameters: WESPA rules, CSW21 lexicon, 5 points per word challenged.
Refunds: Full refunds are available until Oct. 31, 2023, minus a $5 fee to cover transaction costs.

REGISTRATION
Deadline: Registration for the Afterword closes on Nov. 12, 2023.
How to Register: Players who play the Main Event can register for the Afterword tournament for free when they register online for the Main Event, or in person on November 12 after determining whether they qualify for the Final Four playoff. All others must sign up for the Afterword.
Entry fee: $50. This 6-game tournament is free to enter for all players who compete in the Main Event. For others who wish to play only the Afterword and not the Main Event, the entry fee is $50.

PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
All players must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Masks may be required for this event, depending on the public health situation in November 2023.
