Previewing the 2022 San Diego Open

I am really excited to welcome Scrabblers and friends to San Diego - the land of idyllic climate, 70 miles of pristine beaches, and some of the best restaurants and breweries in the world. Players can expect 14 rounds of exciting Collins Scrabble action combined with great food and drink - that right there is a perfect weekend!

The San Diego Open will take place at One Paseo in the beautiful Del Mar neighborhood. The location is close to many great restaurants and bars. The venue is free, and that will allow us to provide 100% of entry fees as prizes. In addition, we will be sponsoring an additional $500 of prize money to guarantee a $1,000 first prize!

Throughout the weekend, competitors will aim to defeat former national champions drbing and cardbox and will likely come up short. But it's no matter - at the end of each day, competitors will celebrate over some of the country's best food and libations, and of course, anagrams.
