I'd always liked the idea of a Scrabble commune where we all played, ate and slept together - well, under one roof anyway - and continued to hoot an' holler after the day's games were done. So, I decided to give it a shot.

The CoCo, like the United States, is a representative democracy. We elect board members every year, and those board members make decisions that guide the organization forward. And the CoCo, like the United States, is in the swing of election season as we speak.

The event most certainly lived up to its name. It was in Portland, the Alberta Arts District to be specific, and there was beer and there was Scrabble. And it was a thing. A glorious thing, indeed.
Recapping this weekend's 'Scrabbleboro' event in Brattleboro, Vermont
Twelve players turned up for 16 rounds of Scrabble this past first weekend of October in Brattleboro. It was just a great group of people. Maybe we'll run it back next year.
